Truckers, shut down/General Strike

Make certain you vote on Nov 4, BUT...DON’T REELECT ANYONE in Congress!

Congress is dominated by frauds who only want a cushy job with no boss or accountability. At the heart of this problem, is the growth of a class of career politicians, whose only purpose is to be reelected forever, not to govern well.

We, the voters, have it within our power to easily destroy these career politicians, and to never let them rise again. All we have to do is:

ALWAYS VOTE, BUT NEVER REELECT!

Wow! That’s a pretty drastic idea! Soon we would wind up with only ‘inexperienced’ freshmen in our Congress. They’d all be from everyday business and industry, which has made us the most successful economy on earth. Would such a Congress be any good?

I bet it would be a helluva lot better, and more effective, than the current one.

REEELECT NOBODY? Try it, you’ll like it. I promise!

Absolutely insane idea.

If someone thinks that there is no difference between parties, they really need to pay attention and do some homework. The mess of the past years has been caused by one party controlling congress for 10 years and the Whitehouse for 7+. It was only through great difficulty that the Dems regains control of the House and to do so, they had to overcome some serious talk radio brainwashing.

The Wal*mart conservatives vote single issue and it's usually a hot-button/wedge issue that doesn't amount to a hill of beans in the long haul. They wouldn't recognize a genuine issue if it bit them on the butt. They don't understand the basic tenets of their party and haven't noticed that Bush embodies none of them. Failing to reelect someone who represents your interests just to prove a point is nuts.

If you can't figure out which issues are most important to you and the future of your family, try this site. Write down the main issues, line out the wedge issues like gun control, gay rights, abortion, medical MJ, and rank them. Try to figure out which party best matches your long term interests. Vote accordingly.

Career politicians deviate from what's right when voters vote stupid. Can you blame them for not being responsive if we reward the "wedge issue" guys? Hundreds have learned to wave the flag, mumble about God, guns, gays and get reelected time after time. They are then free to do whatever they want and they're going to "dance with the one who brung 'em..." ; ie.e, the ones who financed their campaign. Who's fault is that? Look in the mirror...

FLUSH THE RASCALS OUT
by Arthur Lukas

Well congress, in the words of Ronald Reagan, "There you go again!"

Our representatives (sic) in congress are doing it to us again. The Patriot Act, the Iraq War, the Military Commissions Act, the ex post facto telecommunications industry immunity from prosecution for illegal wire tapping, . . . were not enough. Now congress is putting us all in debt to the tune of $700 billion. And we all know how these things work—if the $700,000,000,000 doesn't do the job, our beloved congress, with much hand wringing, will have to add a few more hundred billion to the pot to protect their original bet. There they go again!

Once again the American people have risen up and made our voices heard and our wishes clear—NO BAILOUT. Of course we have done this before; like when we came out in the hundreds of thousands to stop the invasion of Iraq before it happened. Our representatives (sic, sic, sic) listened to us then just as they are listening to us now. There they go again!

How do we get those who are supposed to be representing us to listen and do what we are asking them to do? We do what American citizens have done so many times in the past—"Throw the rascals out!" We throw them out by voting them out of office.

There is a simple equation, which even the corporate sponsored congress will understand—your vote for the $700,000,000,000 bailout of Wall Street bankers equals my vote against you on November 4, 2008. We can get rid of each and every senator and representative who casts a yes vote on the bailout by simply voting against each and every one of them in the next election.

Rather than thinking of this as throwing the rascals out, think of it as cleansing the system by flushing out the muck of soulless politicians who have sold out to the highest bidder.

We can start flushing the rascals out by sending a strong message to congress before the final vote. Tomorrow night (September 30) at 9 PM Eastern Daylight Saving Time (8 PM Central, 7 PM Mountain, and 6 PM Pacific) we can flush our toilets. Across America hundreds of thousands of toilets will be flushed. Communities throughout this great nation will feel the effect of a temporary fall in water pressure. This will let those rascals in D.C. feel the power of the people. It might even stop their rascally madness.

If tonight's flush doesn't get their attention, our vote in November will.

Use your heads drivers... Stop listening to Limbaugh and read the freakin' news. Start reading the news and figure out which party is supporting positions that aren't in your interests. Thinking takes practice but you can do it; you don't need Limbaugh and Hannity to do it for you. Failing to reelect a good Dem and replacing same with a GOPer is nuts... Reelecting a GOPer is nuts. Think about it.

By stopping the "bailouts," as mentioned elsewhere, you are stopping the credit that greases the axles of business and will definitely hurt Main Street far more than Wall Street.

The "investor class" will certainly suffer a 25 - 50% decline in their portfolios, but they'll weather a recession quite nicely. If you think you'll be hauling much freight during the depths of a serious recession or that your grandkids will be better off, you're dreaming.

You are buying into BS. The Republicans created this mess by "deregulating" the financial industry and now most are up for reelection. After years of rubber stamping everything Bush put in front of them, they finally decide to act like champions of the taxpayer and queer the bailout. If it didn't mean that the economy would tank (it may anyway) the Dems should have tossed up their hands and told the stupid party, "you made the mess, clean it up." Instead they thought of the the country first and took the political risk.

No bailout = no credit = U R screwed. Wise up!

I must take issue with you. I say never vote for anyone. Politicians do not create anything of substance. They only make more laws and rules. We don't need any more believe me. I say stop all elections for ever and do away with representative government. It does not work. It has proven itself to be a complete failure. Look at the mess we are in. Cuba has the answer. Fifty years from one leader and he done good! The only people that hate him are the rich. Free health care for everyone, free education through college for everyone, food and housing for everyone. No shopping malls though. No Wal Mart. I can do without all that shit can you?

"If someone thinks that there is no difference between parties, they really need to pay attention and do some homework." I believe there is only ONE PARTY with TWO HEADS. One Head (Republicans) give favors to their friends - Oil, Big Banks, aka Corporate Welfare. The other Head (Democrats) give favor to their friends - Acorn, Federal Jobs, aka Big Government.

Both programs suck the public dry in taxes, listen to lobbyist, and when out of public service become lobbyist. They have an over inflated opinion of their self. I use to vote on issues until I realized that the professional politicians knew what people like me wanted to hear. Because once they got into POWER they forgotten what was promised. So to hell with voting that way.

I believe in term limits - vote them out.
I don't support either party - I'm Independent (Have been for 30+ years)
I believe in the free market - if government would stay out of the way. Just look at Hong Kong.
I'm an avid reader & news clipper - always questioning who benefits from this info (aka propaganda).
I believe in helping others - but only those I know. Not the Red Cross - just look at what they did to New York.
I believe in smaller is better - Tom Peters about 20 years after writing "In Search of Excellence" announced that he was wrong. Excellence isn't found in large businesses but small businesses.

NO, never vote again! They are all crimminals and will cause us harm and death to our children and grand children. If you vote again, you are part of the problem. The solution is to never vote for anyone again!
